Experienced

Servers

APSU delivers a full range of x86 server solutions to meet your needs. Whether it’s space-saving, rack-optimised, application specific or high-end servers, APSU delivers technology by taking core products and solutions from our industry leading partnerships with IBM and HP, combined with both Intel and AMD technologies.

Designed Solutions

Storage

APSU offers a broad range of storage solutions to consolidate, manage and store data across your entire business. Whether your concern is compliance, data accessibility and availability, or sheer storage overload, we can design a solution that gives you optimum levels of security, accessibility and availability.

Managed

Virtualisation

When data centre performance is threatened, you can end up with too many servers, platforms and resources needed to support them. Using our extensive knowledge and experience, APSU can help you with consolidation, optimising your investments by reducing the number of servers required to support your applications.

Planned

Virtual Desktop (VDI)

Virtual desktop solutions greatly enhance security in a network environment. Virtual Desktops also optimise control of data and access while eliminating entry points for viruses and data theft. They can also improve speed to provision desktops and increase manageability, as well as reducing costs.

Servers

APSU delivers leading-edge technology by taking core products and solutions from our industry-leading partnerships with IBM and HP, using both Intel and AMD technologies.

As an HP Gold partner, APSU provides solutions based on HP’s full range of x86 servers, including ProLiant ML, DL and SL. ProLiant is an x86 server architecture engineered and integrated to simplify deployment and ease systems management, allowing you to rely on your infrastructure to respond to fast-changing business needs and gain full value from your IT investments. APSU has a ProLiant server blade solution that will meet your needs, whether you are a small business or the large enterprise firm.

HP ProLiant BladeSystem servers support the latest AMD Opteron and Intel Xeon processors; a variety of I/O options; the innovative Virtual Connect technology; numerous network interconnect alternatives; Integrated Lights Out, multiple redundant features; embedded RAID controllers; and more.

Also an IBM Premier partner, APSU provides solutions based on IBM’s full range of x86 servers, including System X. With advancements in scalability, reliability and performance, System X takes your business where you want it to go. Together with IBM, APSU provides technology to help your business innovate and thrive.

At the same time, the IBM BladeCenter chassis helps form the IT foundation. It can be tailored to the different types of applications, environments and performance requirements in your business. Offering five choices, including chassis for data centres, stores or remote sites and non-traditional environments, you can easily tailor a solution to meet your needs; just choose the right fit. With IBM BladeCenter, blade servers and switch modules can be seamlessly moved between chassis, giving you incredibly flexible, mix-and-match deployment choices.

Storage

APSU uses storage products from our partners, coupled with our own in-house skills and experience to build best-of-breed solutions that address both common and individual data storage issues facing businesses:

  • Locally attached storage or multiple storage arrays are providing management and utilisation issues – APSU can offer storage consolidation and virtualisation solutions that help increase utilisation whilst also driving down the amount of storage infrastructure required, and hence the associated management.
  • Lack of flexibility with disk storage – APSU offers leading disk virtualisation solutions from IBM and HP to help pool data and then provide the ability to migrate on the fly without interruption to users. This can significantly improve the flexibility, utilisation and availability of the storage infrastructure.
  • A lack of data management has led to uncontrolled data growth – APSU works with leading solutions from our partners to help customers understand what data they are storing and where. This can then be used to help define an information lifecycle management process to best align the value of the data with the most cost effective storage.

APSU can also offer a wide range of solutions ranging from tape backup to ensure that data is available after an outage, to high availability to ensure your data and systems are always available when you need them.

Virtualisation and Server Consolidation

Virtualisation is rapidly transforming the IT landscape and fundamentally changing the way that people compute. The benefits of converting from physical to virtual computing are wide-ranging, and through our partnerships with VMware and Microsoft, APSU can deliver proven technology that can offer real value to any organisation seeking:

  • A reduction in server infrastructure to reduce Datacenter footprint
  • Increased utilisation of IT equipment such that the assets can be more efficiently used
  • Reductions in cost and inherent complexity of maintaining existing physical servers
  • The ability to rollout new servers quickly and efficiently
  • The option to provide High-Availability and Load Balanced services
  • The drive to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint
  • To improve their disaster recovery plan
  • To drive down TCO and gain increased ROI

Our virtualisation projects include comprehensive auditing, hardware and network configuration services and physical to virtual migrations, all of which are underpinned by Prince2 project management principles to ensure successful delivery.

IBM announced a new family of solutions called PureSystems last year, classified as an “expert integrated solution”. After 3 years and $2billion investment, IBM is now ready to offer you a new vision for the future of the data centre.

IBM offer three solutions for PureSystems, PureFlex, PureApplication and PureData. APSU has specialized on PureFlex, which is a fully integrated system, unifying management of compute, storage, networking and virtualization.

Let IBM and APSU can help you build your future with Pure.

An APSU audit assists customers in maintaining a robust and resilient IT infrastructure. By carrying out a detailed design review and identifying gaps between current server/storage capabilities and industry best practices, APSU make recommendations to ensure your wintel platform is optimised and up to date. An audit will provide you with a comprehensive infrastructure report, documenting your current environment, together with prioritised recommendations for improvements to the architecture, components, and configurations.
