APSU is delighted to announce the successful transition of Fletchers Bakeries into the Coventry Managed Service centre

APSU have successfully consolidated the Fletcher’s group IT infrastructure and support functions, from various locations and service providers, to the APSU Managed Service centre in Coventry West Midlands. The project was completed whilst maintaining a live environment, providing a seamless uninterrupted service to all of the Fletcher’s users.

The project comprised of a complete Intel Infrastructure refresh and Virtualisation, together with the secure movement of their Lawson M3 iSeries environment (from an incumbent provider), change of their existing MPLS provider, and the transition of the Fletcher’s Managed Service & Help desk to the APSU managed service centre. The whole project was successfully completed by the dedicated APSU ‘take on’ team during the festive break.

Having successfully transitioned the Fletcher’s IT infrastructure from their previous hosting provider (using prince 2 project management principles) and completing all works within a very tight schedule, APSU and Fletcher’s are now embarking on phase two of the project, the  transformation of the legacy Windows and associated application base to the latest versions/releases.

All this while delivering a 24/7 Managed Service and Help desk to Fletcher’s for all of their group systems.
