We have also successfully migrated customer infrastructures between old and new facilities including the systematic and controlled powering down of systems and the resuscitation of the same system within its new location. Our technical resources are based at two APSU locations, South Cerney and Coventry. Pre-Sales, Implementation and Project Management staffs are based at our South Cerney facility.

Managed IT Services

We have been managing and maintaining data centre and Cloud services for our clients for over 17 years from many locations throughout the UK. That accumulation of knowledge, expertise and standard operating procedures serves us well in each and every new infrastructure project. Based in Coventry we have centralised our Managed Services Centre from where all our clients services and monitored, supported and managed on a 24/7/365 basis. Backed up by a shadow support team in Cirencester our Business Continuity and ISO27001 Managed Services operation is proven and resilient.

Indeed, should either facility be evacuated all authorised support analysts have secure two stage authenticated access to our monitoring systems that are hosted in a separate facilities for resilience and security allowing APSU to maintain visibility and control of all our remotely managed infrastructures. APSU approaches service availability from a number of perspectives, ours, yours, our partners and from a hosted perspective. Ours is based upon our corporate governance and responsibility to maintain service during foreseen and unforeseen circumstances to the best of our abilities. We help you in planning for unplanned events and if commissioned to do so will design an appropriate solution to meet, and recover from, foreseen and unforeseen circumstances.

Cloud Computing Solutions

APSU is well positioned to offer auto-provisioning and self-provisioning of Cloud services to fully empower our clients with true utility computing access and flexibility due to our in-house expertise and the strong vendor partnerships. Through a secure, highly automated environment with pools of shared resources that can be leveraged on demand through the use of a Converged Infrastructure platform delivering the benefits of shared services to our clients, we can support Wintel or Power i environments providing the ideal foundation for a Private Cloud environment.

It has the ability for rapid provisioning of a complex infrastructure and applications in minutes instead of months reducing application provisioning time by 80%. This Private Cloud environment will simplify the deployment of applications and business services by delivering IT capacity through pools of readily deployed resources. The goal is to accelerate provisioning, optimize IT capacity across physical and virtual environments and ensure predictable delivery and service levels. APSU can facilitate an integrated platform for private cloud and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) that enables rapid provision of infrastructure, applications and auto-provisioning capabilities.

PCI DSSv2 compliance

PCI DSSv2 applies to all organisations that store, process or transmit cardholder data. It covers technical and operational system components included in, or connected to, cardholder data.

We can determine how PCI applies to your business and your validation requirements because we work in partnership with you and a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) to ensure that the PCI DSSv2 requirements are clearly understood by each party.

Once these requirements are finalised we tailor the appropriate solution to your specific business needs.
