Technology Showcase – London

Canary Wharf

Level 39, One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London

Wednesday 9th July 2014, 10:00-15:30 with lunch

Join APSU and IBM for a unique event to help you reduce costs and deliver IT efficiencies at Europe’s largest accelerator space for technology companies. Occupying the entire 39th floor of the iconic One Canada Square Building, Level39 is an ideal location to showcase technology with its breathtaking views of the London skyline.

APSU’s Managing Director, Paul Bromelow, will give an introduction to APSU and special guest, Martin Stanford, prime-time anchorman for Sky News, will manage the technology presentations and the sessions’ infographics.

The technology showcase will cover emerging and consolidated technology solutions that improve storage performance, lower response times, ensure maintenance compliance and protect your data on any platform. Each attendee will be given an iPad with preset and free flow text input so they can contribute in real time to the presentation sessions.

Points will be awarded when testing knowledge and the delegate with the highest points score will receive an iPad Air.

The agenda for the day will contain the following elements:

flashsystem3
IBM Power8

The potential of IBM Power8 explored, for AIX, Linux and IBM i workloads. Lowering costs to transform big data and analytics.

One of the largest and probably the most powerful CPU ever built, IBM Power8 pushes performance up and energy down.

Also see how IBM I 7.2 locks down critical data, simplifies system management tasks and more.

XIV1
IBM XIV Storage Systems

Let us show you how IBM XIV high-end disk storage provides hotspot-free performance and five-nines availability

With IBM’s pay-as-you-go pricing scheme for XIV storage, enterprise storage has now become affordable

Virtual Server Recovery (VSR)

Add recovery seats to the service and you will start to question why you need a second data centre for business resilience.

TSA1
Technical Support Appliance (TSA)

Dramatically reduce the management of hardware and software maintenance with IBM’s Technical Support Appliance and License Metric Tool.

APSU can show you how to streamline inventory, availability and contract management – realigning dedicated staff to manage other tasks.

TSA2
IBM License Metric Tool

IBM License Metric Tool helps IBM Passport Advantage customers determine their full and sub-capacity processor value units (PVU) licensing requirements.

Companies who have not installed ILMT may fall foul of increased or backdated charges. Let APSU assist you to manage the minefield of IBM software licensing and deliver tangible costs reductions.
