Recap: APSU’s Technology Showcase at Silverstone

APSU’s technology showcase, held on 16 September 2014, covered emerging and consolidated technology solutions that improve storage performance, lower response times, ensure maintenance compliance and protect data on any platform.

In its unique location – Silverstone’s Formula 1 pit garage with views of the pit lane and racetrack – Martin Stanford, prime-time anchorman for Sky News, used iPads to manage the technology presentations and infographics.

Leading IBM presenters provided engaging content and special guest Robin Irvine, CIO ABP UK, discussed the potentially unforeseen problems when disaster strikes.

The event concluded with a tour of Silverstone, with behind-the-scenes views of the circuit and a demonstration by Giant Group Plc’s Director Mark McAllister of the technology available in a race prepared Ferrari 458.
